Riche在许多专业聚会上发表过演讲，在区域和国家教育会议的规划委员会任职，目前是华盛顿社区和技术学院协会（WACTC）下属的信息技术委员会（ITC）的成员。 Riche earned a doctorate in social welfare with emphases in organizational studies and research and teaching at the University of Washington, a master’s degree from the University of Washington, and a bachelor’s degree in psychology and communication from the University of Puget Sound.
